WHY A PARTNER SCHOOL

CogniPraxis Knowledge + Growth in your own school.

CogniPraxis Academy is our own unit and the model for the programme. A Partner School delivers the same programme, with the same lesson plans, the same evidence and the same standards. The school keeps its identity; CogniPraxis adds a coherent Knowledge + Growth pathway.

For the school

A school that turns research into practice.

An original, research-grounded programme for ages 6–16, with a clear identity and quality assurance.

For educators

Ready-made design, a shared language.

Training in the programme, complete lesson plans and a shared way to see and cultivate growth.

For children

Knowledge + Growth for school & life.

Substantial academic content, together with how they think, collaborate and meet difficulty.

For families

They know what their child learned. They see how they are growing.

A report after every lesson, a Developmental Profile twice a year and three parent meetings.

THE PROGRAMME LICENCE

A complete delivery system for every stage.

The quality of a lesson passes through many hands: from science to design, from design to the educator, from the classroom to the family. The licence covers every link in that chain.

IN THE CLASSROOM

Every lesson is designed twice. The educator receives it ready to teach.

Once for what the child will learn, once for how they will grow. The design is our responsibility; teaching, adapting to the group and observing are the educator’s craft.

THREE ROUTES OF CULTIVATION

Every growth target has a declared route.

  • Within the taskThe academic problem itself cultivates the capability.
  • BridgeAn extension of the learning into an adjacent social, emotional, ethical or cultural question.
  • Way of workingRoles, climate, choices and the natural difficulty of learning.

TWO EDUCATORS, TWO ROLES

One teaches. The other observes.

The second educator records evidence on the lesson’s targets in the digital forms, against criteria the children know from the start.

This evidence, the short checks and the child’s own reflection form the reports to the family. Measurable progress on every target. No comparison with other children.

PARTNER SCHOOL STANDARDS

Shared standards, so that a CogniPraxis lesson is the same in every school.

They are the standards of our own Academy. The licence is renewed every year, provided they are met.

  1. Fixed time

One session a week, September–June: 75′ for Sparks, 90′ for Explorers, Pathfinders and Designers.

  2. Small groups

Up to 8 children in each group, so every child has time, a voice and personal feedback.

  3. Two authorised educators

In every lesson: one teaches, the other observes and records evidence.

  4. Programme Lead

A member of the school’s leadership coordinates delivery and is the constant link with the CogniPraxis academic team.

  5. Faithful delivery

The curriculum and lesson plans are delivered as designed. The educator adapts the teaching to the group, not the objectives.

  6. Evidence and reports

A Lesson Report after every lesson, a Unit Report at the end of every unit, two Developmental Profiles a year.

  7. Partnership with families

Three parent meetings a year, with Family Learning Series materials.

  8. Annual training

Training in programme updates, and calibration, every year.

  9. Quality visit

Once a year, lesson observation and a review of the evidence, together with the school.

Shared standards are why a family knows what a CogniPraxis lesson means, in whichever school it takes place.

With respect for children and their data.

Evidence describes and supports; it does not rank children or educators. In the Bridge we assess how a child thinks, never what they believe. Data protection roles are set out in writing in the contract, in line with the GDPR.

We never create difficulty in order to measure it.

Resilience and overcoming adversity are observed only in difficulties that arise naturally within learning. Serious personal difficulties are not assessed; our role there is to support.

COGNIPRAXIS AUTHORISED EDUCATOR

The quality of the programme depends on the person who delivers it.

The educators are yours. We train them, accompany them through their first lessons and authorise them to teach the programme before they take on a group.

  1. Training

The Framework and the Developmental Map, the Dual Design Method, the three routes, the six stages and the Developmental Evidence System.

  2. Practice

Trial lessons using the plans for their zone, with feedback from the CogniPraxis academic team.

  3. Calibration

Everyone assesses the same anonymised examples on the same scale, so that “Autonomous” means the same in every school.

  4. Authorisation

Before they take on their first group. Renewed every year, with the annual training and calibration.

THE SHARED CALIBRATION SCALE

  1. Emergingsubstantial guidance
  2. Supporteda question or a reminder
  3. Autonomousno support
  4. Transferableand in a new domain

For every milestone we ask not only whether the child does it, but with how much support and in how many contexts.

WHAT THE TRAINING COVERS

  • CogniPraxis Framework and Developmental Map
  • Dual Design Method
  • Curriculum and pedagogy of the zone
  • The Bridge: opening a human question without moralising
  • Support and autonomy
  • Developmental Evidence System and digital forms
  • Ethics and safeguarding

FIT CONVERSATION

Let’s see together whether CogniPraxis fits your school.

The first conversation is about getting to know each other: we listen to what you want to achieve, show you the programme from the inside and consider together whether the conditions are right. Licence terms are discussed afterwards, in writing.

IT SUITS SCHOOLS THAT

  • want rigorous knowledge and growth in the same learning experience;
  • can commit fixed time, small groups and two educators;
  • invest in training their people;
  • see families as partners.

FOR SCHOOLS · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions from schools.

01 · DELIVERY

Who teaches?

Your school’s educators, once trained and authorised by us. There are two in every lesson: one teaches, the other observes and records evidence.

How does it fit into the school programme?

CogniPraxis has its own curriculum and does not cover the school syllabus. In the first format it sits in a weekly slot the school sets; in the second it runs after school. Exactly how it fits the timetable we work out together, within the framework that applies to your school.

Can we start with one zone?

Yes. It is often the best start: one or two zones in the first year, expanding once delivery is established.

In which language?

In Greek or English. The curriculum, lesson plans, materials and reports exist in both languages.

02 · QUALITY AND EDUCATORS

Is authorisation an official qualification?

Authorisation is a CogniPraxis quality process and relates solely to delivering the programme in the Partner School. It is not a state-recognised qualification.

Can we adapt the programme?

The educator adapts the teaching to the children in their group. The objectives, structure and criteria stay the same, so that a CogniPraxis lesson means the same in every school.

What happens if an educator leaves?

The new educator follows the same training and authorisation before taking on a group. That is why we recommend each school has at least one more authorised educator than it needs.

How is quality assured?

Through annual calibration, the quality visit and a review of the evidence with the Programme Lead. The licence is renewed every year, provided the standards are met.

03 · FAMILIES, DATA AND TERMS

How are parents kept informed?

As in the Academy: a Lesson Report after every lesson, a Unit Report, two Developmental Profiles a year and three parent meetings. Measurable progress on every target. No comparison with other children.

Who manages pupils’ data?

Roles are set out in writing in the contract, in line with the GDPR. Data are used only for children’s learning and growth and for programme quality, not to rank pupils or educators.

What does it cost?

Licence terms depend on the zones, the number of groups and the delivery format. We discuss them after the fit conversation and you receive them in writing.

Is there a formal link with Cambridge or UCL?

No. CogniPraxis is an independent educational organisation. References to the University of Cambridge and UCL relate to the founder’s academic and professional background.
